Hello World,
Did you know that the eagle has the longest life-span of its species? It can live up to 70 years however, in order to reach that age the eagle must make a difficult decision. By the time it reaches the age of 40, its’ long and flexible talons can no longer grab prey which serves as its food. Its long and sharp beak becomes bent and its feathers become stuck to its chest due to its thickness and old age making it difficult to soar the high skies as it once did.
It is at that pivotal moment in its life that the Eagle is left with only two options:
To Die or to go through the painful Process of Change which lasts 150 days
The Process of Change requires that the Eagle fly to the mountain top and sit on its nest.
That is where the Process of Change begins.
First, the eagle must knocks its’ beak against a rock until it falls out. Then it must wait patiently for a new beak to grow back. Once it has grown back it then begins to pluck out its talons one by one.
Again it will sit patiently as it waits for the new talons to grow back.
Once the new talons have grown back, the Eagle begins the gurgling process of plucking its old-aged feathers out one by one. Slowly each new feather begins to amerce one by one and by the end of the long and gurgling 5 months it takes its First flight of rebirth and lives for another 30 years.
Just like the Eagle there will be times in our life that in order for us to transition into the next phase of our journey we too must go through the Process of Change. That process maybe painful as we release old memories, past burdens, habits and beliefs that no longer work or have value to us. However, in the end we too will soar to new heights for we have found our own inner peace and renewed sense of purpose.
To the process of change and until we meet again,
Ms. Marie Antoinette
